Warming up the Director’s Office
Friday was the big moving day for me. With good assistance, I brought all my stuff to the director's office. The office is big as a ballroom, and I will have to invite a housewarming party once I get in order. I was somewhat disappointed to learn that the share of the books I keep at PRIO filled good as all the shelf space. Maybe a sign that it is time to go Kindle? You will see no revolutionary change in the office, but a couple of new elements (tables; screen?) are on their way. I am looking forward to taking this fantastic office into use – through good meetings with you PRIOites and with guests. Leaving behind my old office in absolute disarray (shall do something about it before you return from vacation, Inger!), I headed off to Kongsberg, where I met friends and enjoyed Zap Mama’s at an outside concert. World music, tributes to Carlos Santana, late Michael Jackson and late ‘Mama Afrika’, Miriam Makeba. Good way to round of the week. Wish you all good weekends!

Hi Kristian, just wanted to let you know that I think the blog is a great idea and I'll be sure to check in on it regularly! Hilde
ReplyDeleteHi Kristian, I agree with Hilde that this blog is a terrific idea, and I'm really glad you've initiated it. It's great to get updated on your's and others activities at PRIO, something I personally miss since Stein stopped writing his Friday letters. Happy blogging!
