Quiet, quieter...
This week PRIO has thoroughly entered into summer mode. Even so, every time I make it to the coffee machine – that social miracle machine – I bump into interesting people. Yesterday, I met Christin, David and a well-dressed man with a straw hat. That man was Aaron Karp - a professor at the Old Dominion University (Virginia) and an associate of the Small Arms Survey - whose work I have been familiar with for a long time. When I don’t run into a small arms crowd, or other mini-seminars, I see Alf, who is filling the reception services as if it was PRIO high season. Myself, I will be here only for a couple of more days before I depart on vacation on Friday morning, but I am largely to be found in my office until then.
