In the new International Studies Encyclopedia, an online reference work published by Blackwell in collaboration with the International Studies Association, there is honorable mention of our own institute. In the article ‘Peace Research/Peace Studies: A Twentieth Century Intellectual History’, by Carolyn Stephenson, the Online Resources section at the end contains a reference to PRIO, which reads as follows:
Peace Research Institute Oslo. At www.prio.no, accessed November 3 2009. The Norwegian Institute in which Galtung’s work was pioneering, and which is now probably the world’s premier peace research institute.
Say no more.

A link to International studies online is to be found on the page "Useful external databases (in the chapter "Encyclopaedias") on the library's intranet pages. There is also an entry for it in the library catalogue so you will always find it that way as well.
ReplyDeleteTo find Carolyn Stephenson's article you may search for "Peace research" or "PRIO" or for that matter "Carolyn Stephenson".
